The benefits from Yoga are very similar to CrossFit; improved stability, better alignment, increased mobility, balance and body awareness. Through Yoga, Cross Fitters can grow stronger physically and mentally ultimately leading to enhanced performance, speedier recovery and safer movement.

If you’ve taken a yoga class at a studio or in your home, chances are you practiced in a Yang style of yoga, which involves moving and breathing with intention and control. Yang is referred to as the “bright side of the mountain” whereas Yin is the “dark side of the mountain” (dark meaning quiet and peaceful). Yin is a deeply personal and restorative practice where you allow the body to surrender into postures to help rejuvenate joints, ligaments and maintain healthy fascia to improve circulation and mobility. Yin postures are held for extended periods of time, from 45 seconds up to 2 or 3 minutes for beginners and up to 5 minutes or more in an advanced practice. Yin is a perfect compliment to a regular Yang regiment, including CrossFit, to revive the body and provides the student with a well-rounded yoga and fitness practice.
What to Expect
This class is designed to help all athletes and improve their flexibility, balance, joint mobility & breath awareness. Yoga props are used to release tight muscles and to assist in deepening the poses.
